Real-time, Live, Cyber Classes

Apart from all our current features and functionalities, we will also present real-time, live cyber classes from approximately 25 January 2010 (give or take a week). These classes will cover the following areas :

  • Computer Programming (Delphi, Pascal, C++ and Java)
  • Website Development (HTML and CSS Programming)
  • End-user Computing (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Internet & E-mail aka Web Browsers & E-mail Clients (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Outlook Express and MS Outlook)
  • File Management (Windows)

A great number of classes will be presented as to cover each of the above-mentioned areas in depth. Thus, the applicable course (say for instance, Delphi programming) will consist of numerous classes, running from January till end of November.

We will - later - extend the list in such a manner as to (eventually) include cyber classes for each and every course that we present. But for now, we'll just go with the defaults; we'll only present cyber classes for the most popular type of courses i.e. the ones preferred by, and included in the curricula of most secondary- and tertiary level students.

The preliminary schedule will be available for download (both HTML and .pdf format) from the campus' landing page (bulletin board) within the first week of January.

Note that the cyber classes can only host/accommodate a certain, specified number of students at any particular session and therefore, you have to book in advance for these classes.

The classes, with regard to any specific course, will be presented on a daily or weekly basis, depending on the type of course and the popularity of the topic to be covered during that particular session. Re-broadcast (of fully booked and/or popular classes) can be arranged, should the need for them arise.

Video recordings of concluded classes will also be available. These recordings will be categorized according to their topic. Orders for the video recordings, as well as those for the programming tutorials, need to be placed at sales@compu-and-it-solutions.com The exact details, order forms etc. will be made available on the bulletin board.

As always, all general type of enquiries can be sent to info@compu-and-it-solutions.com

Note that, regarding subject related enquiries, NO e-mail replies will be sent. Subject related e-mails create a major administrative problem and thus, they will consequently be deleted from the system.

VERY IMPORTANT : Students need to ask subject related questions within the subject forums i.e. they ought to

  1. log into the Online Campus by using their login credentials

  2. post their questions within the relevant course forums

Also note the following :

  • Since the content within this Campus, as well as the e-mail addresses of each and every user is protected from search engines such as Google, it is necessary to log in to be able to use this website.

  • Upon login, an authentication process is done i.e. your username and password is checked against internal and external databases on our servers. Therefore, only VALID login credentials will grant you access to the Online Campus.

  • In order to combat brute-force password attacks, we use an additional level of security when accepting data from web forms. This means that the HTTP_REFERER variable of your browser is checked against the current form address. This process might cause problems if you are using a firewall like ZoneAlarm, which is configured to strip HTTP_REFERER from their web traffic.

Therefore, if you cannot login (and/or if you get stuck on certain webpages while browsing) :

  1. ENSURE that your Windows firewall is turned on, then

  2. Turn off ZoneAlarm for the duration of being logged into this site

  3. However, and for your security, when logging in, always check that the domain in the address bar starts with : http://www.compu-and-it-solutions.com

  4. After you've logged out, you can turn ZoneAlarm back on

If you experience any further problems (i.e. lost usernames and/or passwords), you should contact Compu & IT Solutions at campus@compu-and-it-solutions.com Please state your name, surname and account number within this e-mail.
